Lucy's First Monologue

Opening the show, Lucy, our protagonist relates her experience as what it means to be human, the search, the quest for understanding what it is to be a person.

The Woman's Monologue

The Woman, a figment of Lucy's imagination, or is she?, steps down out of the dream world and begins a full diagnosis of the world as she sees it. It is clear that her scientific methodology and rationale is irrational and unlike another in  her field.

The Woman's 2nd Speech

As the woman becomes an apparent thought process in Lucy's mind, she becomes a more solidified character for the audience onstage as well.

Lucy's Questioning Life

Lucy begins to question her life, she is consistently seeking change and alterations in her life. She admires The Woman, but is never satisfied with her changing self.

Touching Heaven For A Moment

Lucy's struggle transfers into a heavenly dream, we feel as she does, inert for a moment, stranded between the pearly gates and the earthen home.

Feeling Flightless

A continuation of Lucy's struggle, her monologue reflects her dream.

Trephining

The woman's sadistic and scientific braun exude a terrifyingly beautiful and haunting experimentation of trephining that Lucy partakes in, accidentally ruining a passerby's life.

p 52-53 Underscore

Throughout the Man's monologues, Lucy's trial of abusive and unsolicited harsh relations with the Man become a very dark, twisted, and cold environment. The man cares less about Lucy and just uses her as a piece of meat to enjoy.

Angel Assistance

An angel, not real, but a human spiritual guru arrives on Lucy's doorstep amidst the worst times in her life. She is wary, broken, and unsettled, but he heals her soul and provides her a path to enlightenment.

The Woman is Real

Lucy finally meets The Woman. She has hanged and so has the woman. The woman has become domestic in her appearance knitting and enjoying her children's laughter at the park, Lucy has all but found complete solace in knowing her reality is not whole anymore.
